Mark currently serves as President/CEO of the Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.  He came to the Chamber in July 2018 and is providing great leadership and vision as we continue to generate more members and develop strong relationships.

Mark served as President of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce for twelve years and was responsible for the management of a business trade organization with over 1,200 members.   He led the Chamber in providing a wide range of business counseling and marketing programs for its members while maintaining a very active role in economic development projects and government relations.

Prior to joining the New Castle County Chamber, Mark owned and operated his own consulting company, MAK Associates, for ten years. The firm specialized in government relations, real estate development, and project management.  He coordinated the planning and development of numerous business expansion projects for various clients including Mike’s Famous Harley Davidson and facilities for Christiana Care. He also had numerous lobbying clients with a special focus on tax policy, gaming, hospitality, food service, affordable housing, and economic development.

Mark was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of an internet startup company: FamousRadio.com which specialized in creating custom radio stations for in-store and online broadcasting.  Mark raised over $2 million from various private investors and financial institutions. He also led business development activities with Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States.

Mark’s other past experience include:

President-New Castle County Economic Development Corporation. Managed a real estate finance program, a small business lending program and economic development marketing activities,

Director of Policy-New Castle County Government. He was s senior level advisor for elected County Executive in government.

Real Estate Analyst-Latimer & Buck. Financial analysis for large commercial real estate projects throughout the United States

Program Manager-Philadelphia Housing Authority. Administered city-wide housing rehabilitation loan program using state and local funds

Amy joined the team in November of 2019 and handles all things Membership and Marketing for the Chamber…as well as a few other things. Amy joined the Chamber with 10 years of Chamber industry experience from the Dallas, Texas area. She started in 2008 and held the roles of Events Coordinator,  Membership & Marketing Director and President at several Chambers of Commerce before the opportunity arose to move back home.

Amy is a born and raised Annapolitan and an Annapolis Area Christian School & Anne Arundel Community College graduate. She moved to Nashville, TN to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Belmont University with an emphasis in Music Business and Marketing. She landed her first Music Business gig immediately following graduation and worked as Promotions Coordinator for several record companies before her marriage led her to Texas, where her career segued from the Music Industry to the Chamber Industry.

Amy currently lives on the peninsula in Edgewater with her husband, two kids and sheepadoodle, Elvis.  “I’m thrilled to be back home, near the water, with my family and friends. I’m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to partner and support small business owners from my hometown!
