Annapolis, MD (April 17, 2026) – There was no shortage of energy and excitement at last night’s Small Business Awards Celebration. From heartfelt reactions as winners were announced to inspiring words that reminded us all what it truly takes to run a business, the evening was a powerful celebration of our local business community.
Small business ownership isn’t always easy—but last night, we paused to recognize the grit, passion, and perseverance behind it all. We honored six incredible award winners and celebrated the impact they continue to make across Anne Arundel County.
The evening kicked off with remarks from Senator Shaneka Henson, who shared her personal journey of starting her own law practice and the determination it took to keep going—setting the tone for a night centered on resilience and inspiration.
We were also proud to present a special surprise honor, recognizing Dave Noce of Servpro as our Ambassador of the Year for his outstanding commitment and support of the Chamber community.

Meet the 2026 Small Business Award Winners
Small Business of the Year – Bohemian Black

Rooted in faith and family, the business offers thoughtfully curated apparel, accessories, and home décor designed to help women express their authentic selves while embracing life’s many roles. Founded by owner Rose, Bohemian Black reflects her passion for meaningful connection, elevated style, and community. As a wife, mother, and entrepreneur, Rose has created a welcoming business that blends beauty, purpose, and authenticity. Her shop is located at Annapolis Town Center.
Woman-Owned Business of the Year – The Oaks Bed & Breakfast
Founded by attorney Sharon Jackson Wilder, The Oaks Annapolis has quickly established itself as a premier boutique inn experience in the heart of Downtown Annapolis. Located just steps from City Dock, the U.S. Naval Academy, and Main Street, the property pairs historic charm with luxurious accommodations, themed rooms, gourmet breakfasts, wine socials, and wellness experiences. Since opening in December 2023, The Oaks has earned recognition for its exceptional service, thoughtfully curated guest experience, and commitment to hospitality excellence. Emerging Business of the Year – Mundaca Law
Led by Founding Partner Francisco Mundaca, Mundaca Law Firm has quickly earned recognition for its wide-ranging legal services and client-centered approach. Minority Business of the Year – Little House of Flowers
Serving the community since 1994, Little House of Flowers in Gambrills has built a reputation for elegant floral design, personalized service, and creative event styling. Owner Martha D’Onofrio brings more than two decades of experience in the floral industry, specializing in weddings, events, and custom arrangements tailored to each client’s vision. Born in Bolivia and bringing a strong background in tourism, languages, and entrepreneurship, Martha has built a business known for both artistry and attention to detail. Through Little House of Flowers — as well as her Pasadena business, Always Blooming Florist & Boutique — she continues to elevate special occasions with floral designs that are stylish, distinctive, and memorable.
Non-Profit of the Year – Opportunity Builders, Inc.
Opportunity Builders, Inc. (OBI) has served individuals with disabilities and their families for decades, helping youth and adults experience full inclusion in their communities as they learn, work, and pursue personal success. Founded in 1962, OBI has grown from a small occupational services program into a vital regional organization dedicated to supporting independence, employment, and opportunity. In addition to its longstanding mission, OBI continues to innovate through programs like THE FUSE, its inclusive nightclub experience that creates a vibrant, welcoming nightlife space where adults of all abilities can connect, celebrate, and have fun without limits. OBI’s commitment to inclusion, dignity, and opportunity continues to make a profound impact in the community.
Chairman’s Choice Award – Always Ice Cream
Founded in 2021 by brothers Mark and Adam Cohen, Always Ice Cream has quickly grown into a beloved Maryland brand known for its handcrafted, ultra-premium ice cream and creative customer experience. What began in West Annapolis has expanded to multiple locations and an ice cream truck, with more than 250 unique flavors made in Edgewater using natural ingredients and inventive mix-ins. Beyond its rapid growth and strong local following, Always Ice Cream stands out for its modern approach to hospitality and its commitment to giving back. Most recently, the business helped drive a $7,000 donation to the Anne Arundel County Public Library through a local collaboration during Love Your Library Month — a reflection of the community-minded spirit behind the brand.
