The Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce offers numerous educational opportunities for its members through educational series.

Business Continuity Series

When a business is disrupted, it can cost money. Lost revenue plus extra expenses equal reduced profits. Insurance does not cover all costs and cannot replace customers that defect to the competition. A business continuity plan to continue business is essential. The Chamber of Commerce conducts a series of workshops and seminars to help business members evaluate and implement quality continuity planning. Some workshops, in this series, provide certification to business members who have completed the program.

Healthy Business Series

One of the most important elements in motivating and engaging employees is having a healthy company environment. The benefits are higher productivity, lower absentee rates, and work/life balance. A healthy company environment encourages employees to regularly engage in physical and personal health activities, as well as encourage employers to promote policies and practices that blend together the most important attributes valued in the workplace. Each year, the Chamber of Commerce conducts workshops/seminars focused on topics and best practices that help business members develop healthy business practices for their company and their employees.
